You get 3 Antenna Insulators - enough for center and both ends
Works great for Dipoles, Inverted Vees, End Fed and Random Wire antennas! Bring your Shortwave receiver to life by making a good antenna.
Use these to insulate the ends of your wires making up your ground plane on elevated vertical antennas.
Green EGG insulator in Ceramic. The excellent color is handy for hiding against a dark back ground or tree leaves. Used with small diameter antenna wire this color makes for a hard to see combination. Even the non painted (see image #2) stripes work for hiding against a back ground. Perfect to hide from those pesky HOAs or camping and park attendants!
Insulators are approximately 1-1/4 inches in length with the width about 13/16 inch. Approximately 3/16 inch hole for antenna wire.
Keep some of these insulators, a roll of light weight wire, and some coax cable together and you are all set to make a handy antenna for emergency operations, in a time of need for bugging out for your ham rig or shortwave receiver, or as a camping antenna. Perfect for bug out bags and shelters. Keep some in the camper or RV with some wire and use them for temporary antennas when parked or camping.
The formula for building dipole antennas is 468/Freq (in MHz) and then divide by 2 to get each leg length, ie: for 40 meters it would be something like 468/7.050 for 66.38ft/2 = 33.2 feet per leg. For a Inverted Vee antenna deduct about 5% from each leg's length.
