Perfect for scanners that use the push in type Motorola Style plug. Covers 25-1300 MHz and works for Analog, Digital and Trunking reception. A 5 section antenna, it extends from a collapsed length of about 7" to a extended length of about 25-1/2". Sturdy design, the base section has a diameter of about 3/16". These fit Uniden (Bearcat), Realistic, Regency, Cobra and many other Scanners using the Motorola Style plug.
This handy antenna will also unscrew from the plug in part and for those scanners models that use the 3mm screw in antenna that goes in from a hole in the top of the scanner, it will work for that. The antenna has a female socket, so the scanner would need to have a male stud for the antenna to screw onto. Many of the Realistic/Radio Shack and other brands/models have this type antenna connection.
*Handy Hint - some scanners, particularly those scanners that are older, may have their antenna socket made a bit too large in diameter, the socket may be excessively worn or the socket may not be deep enough, in that case a antenna may extend too far past any antenna bracket or may not stand up straight if it is not tight in the socket. The EASY FIX for not standing up is to use a thin tape such as clear tape and put it on the white round bushing part of the antenna plug to increase the diameter of the plug. This works great for those scanners that are a problem in this area.
