A 1/4 wave design antenna suitable for frequencies from 136 to 970 MHz. This Chrome antenna looks great on your vehicle. Nice heavy design and none of that flimsy thin whip of the cheaper antennas. Has a nice gold plated NMO pin connector for best performance.

1/4 wave antennas exhibit about a 45 degree angle of radiation when used with a suitable ground surface or vehicle roof. They are favored where one might be in a downtown area with tall buildings due to the high angle of radiation allowing your signal to get out. Same can be said for being in valleys in the mountains.
